Dallas hypnotistHypnosis works to examine a carving and find its true source.

What are you craving?

We say that a lot, “I’m really craving this or that”. There is a signal that indicates a need for food or a substance to satisfy us and when we give into that, we set up a pattern that plays on a loop.

What I am interested in is what trips the signal. Hypnosis is a technique that slows that process down so we can find the true source of the craving.

Health Tip #39. Turn Cravings Into Therapy and Stop Emotional Eating.

Sometimes our body truly does crave a certain food, sometimes I really want peanut butter and when I do, I remember that it is a dense delivery of calories and I remember that I haven’t eaten much protein in the past several days, so my body says, I need a lot of calories now, it gives me the indication that peanut butter does that quickly. Craving peanut butter reminds me I need to do a better job at eating more protein. So, I correct that.

Hunger of the Mind or Hunger of the Body?

Most cravings for alcohol, desserts, and bread are more psychological cravings. We really want something else, attention, pleasure, comfort, etc. It is an emotional hunger, not a physical hunger like peanut better.

If you find yourself craving the wrong foods or substances, come in for a consultation. Hypnosis can help you discover the true reason for your craving.
