If you think about the wheels on your car and that because they are all round they roll pretty well and get you where you are going.  If we take our lives and create a Balance Wheel, we may find that because we don’t drink enough water or handle our daily stress that one side of our wheel could be flat.

When our lives are out of balance an addictive behavior or addictive cycle begins. That addiction is really our attempt to balance or to correct what is wrong but in a way the wires are crossed and what we think is solving the problem,

a diet soda at 3pm for energy or

an Advil PM at 12 am for sleep

but that is really keeping us in the addictive cycle.

At a very deep level, there is more going on here than you realize.  In the book, Molecules of Emotion author Candace Pert describes the 2-way communication between the mind/body.

If you could sloooowwww down the impulse to get a diet soda you would find waaaaay in the background a repressed emotion sending messages back and forth which are now interpreted with much time passed as ‘WE ARE EXHAUSTED, BORED, WHATEVER, NEED A DIET SODA PLEASE’.

And on top of that we feel like we are out of control…”I can’t even put the soda down.”  That compounds the issue.  Hypnosis is a way to get in on the communication between mind/body and direct it in a way that leaves you feeling powerful and in control.
