hypnosis for health and happiness

For Happiness It Is Necessary to Do Something You Are Good At?

What do you really, really like to do?

Is it because when you do it, it makes you happy?

And is that because you are good at it?

Do we purposefully do something to “make” us happy, or do we just gravitate towards the things that create a happier state and then we notice we are feeling lighter and smiling more. That’s when we say, “I’m in a really good mood today.”

And are we gravitating to that event because we are good at it. Probably. We love our sense of accomplishment and the pride that wells up when we finish a project. Like me taking all the HVAC vents off the ceilings, cleaning them, to reveal beautiful “not made anymore” stainless steel vents, it makes me happier when the unit comes on, it triggers the memory of the moment I realized there was a shiny metal under the 25 years of grime. That gave me the confidence to do more, like caulk the windows and patch the cracks in the brick. And I felt happy doing it.

If you are not in a good mood then intentionally doing something that you are good at will create a shift. If there is a little resistance it could be because your current sad or bad mood has become a known condition or a pattern. And as you know patterns are difficult to break.

I’m here to encourage you to lift yourself out of your rut and do something you are good at this week.

That will create a little spark and create that happiness glow.

I’m Valerie Grimes, the Happy Hypnotist in Dallas wishing you a happier and healthier life. Remember to smile.
