Preparing your body for weight loss is key to reducing weight and keeping it off.

Are you having breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks?   Most people find out that they are not eating enough and therefore holding onto weight. Presenting: Health Tips for Weight Loss #2 Eating more can actually lead to more weight loss.

Why does the body hold onto weight?

According to the CoachCalorie website: Not eating enough calories causes many metabolic changes. Your body is a smart machine and senses a large decrease in dietary energy. Your large calorie deficit might work for a few days or even weeks, but eventually your body will wake up and sound alarms that it needs to conserve energy. It doesn’t want to just waste away. It needs that energy (fat) to survive. So, what does your body do when it senses prolonged energy restriction? It holds onto weight.

In the hypnosis for weight loss program when clients begin eating 3 small meals and two small snacks for 30 days it prepares them for the release. (The hypnosis sessions help to make eating like this seem easy and natural). The body feels better about losing the excess because it is nourished and one’s metabolism is also corrected. We are humans and humans must eat regularly.  Denying that is unnatural and so the body responds the way it was designed to. If you are overweight and not eating, in a way your body is simply trying to survive. However the excess is usually not welcomed nor appreciated.

But rather than being disgusted by your body’s condition, embrace it and honor it’s wisdom, if you body feels loved and accepted that is an important part of the weight loss scenario. The acceptance will register at a deep level which also assists with the release of excess weight.

How small is a small meal?

Start my using a smaller plate and then tune into your body’s natural instinct and your feeling of fullness.  Eating slowly helps this process.
