To achieve positive hypnosis you have to be willing to try.

As with any style of therapy, hypnosis is a cooperative experience. If a patient is resistant from the outset, hypnosis is much less likely to be effective. It will be very hard to achieve results when the subject is defeatist or skeptical from the beginning. Only you can change your attitude.

  1. Keep An Open Mind. There is no greater threat to positive hypnosis experience than a negative outlook. If you have decided to try it out, put all your chips on the table and be honest with your hypnosis expert. This is the best way to establish trust and set a path toward success.
  2. Relax. Studies show that clients who take steps to achieve a feeling of inner calm will be more focused and more capable of harnessing their mental energy toward achieving their goals.
  3. Take Your Time. Clients progress at different rates. Don’t be discouraged if your first session doesn’t produce shocking results. All therapy is a process toward improvement, and positive hypnosis depends on your ability to maintain focus on long-term and short-term achievements.
