feeling stuck in life

Are you in a rut?

Has that rut become so familiar that it seems comfortable? If so, hypnosis can help you get out.

hypnosis for rutsSometimes we are in the rut so long we make it work somehow, like the man in the photo. And believe it or not our uncomfortable situation becomes comfortable because it is a known. One of the things our subconscious mind does is avoid pain, including perceived pain—which is something unknown. It is basically the fear of the unknown, thus the rut.

Getting out of the rut takes a shift in perspective in order to imagine a ‘what if”. This takes a lot of concentration and focus to do this consciously. Most people in these situations are in an emotional state that makes it nearly impossible. However, hypnosis is excellent way to imagine what life would be like out of the box. Our goal is to make the new perspective very real and then to use hypnotic suggestions repetitiously so the mind becomes familiar with the idea. The new idea then becomes more known and less of a risk to try out.

Also, if there is a pleasure derived from the new idea the subconscious will seek that out quickly because at that point the “comfort” of the current rut no longer has its grip. You see, the new idea and the freedom and safety it offers are much more interesting and therefore a person moves in that new direction just as unconsciously as they stayed in the rut.

Hypnosis offers a new view of your rut, including the way out:

What keeps a person there is fear, fear of the unknown.

People tend to stick with what is known and therefore comfortable even if it makes no conscious sense (why people keep smoking).

Anything different is unknown and therefore perceived as uncomfortable and thus avoided.
