More and more articles and talk shows are discussing alternatives to alcohol treatment.
The Topic?
Getting to the source of the addiction is key to assisting the patient in the choice of drinking or not.
This is great news.
After 80+ years of “Alcohol is an Incurable Disease” people are starting to question:
disease vs dependency
abstinence vs moderation
behavior vs choice
powerlessness vs powerful
The discussion points covered more choices like outpatient clinical treatment approach with psychotherapy to address causes along with cognitive behavior change. In addition prescription drugs are helpful in some cases. The main point was: each person is different and their case should be handled on their own unique experience.
The Flow Center uses hypnosis to assist our clients.
For alcoholism addiction treatment there two kinds of hypnosis, Analysis and Suggestion:
Analysis finds the root cause of an addiction or disorder that is hidden in unconscious memory. Once found, this can be addressed.
In suggestion therapy, the patient is more open to suggestions meaning their behaviors (eating, drinking, etc.) can be changed.
“Hypnosis avoids the critical censor of the conscious mind, which often defeats what we know to be in our best interests. The effectiveness of hypnosis appears to lie in the way in which it bypasses the critical observation and interference of the conscious mind, allowing the client’s intentions for change to take effect,” says the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis.
We do not treat alcohol addiction. We support the individual and their desire to be sober or to moderate through behavior change techniques. We also suggest sessions to increase self esteem, manage effects of stress, heal the past and focus on their bright futures.
Consider the natural approach: hypnosis to abstain or moderate drinking alcohol. Here is our specific website for alcohol dependency.
This video is my personal story with alcohol, I hope you can find 8 minutes to watch and then take a few more minutes and share your story with me.
