Dallas Hypnotist, Valerie Grimes, shares tips on keeping the weight off.

Depending upon your beliefs about predisposition to being overweight and your motivation to get in shape, there are two choices.

  1. I’m overweight and have a gene that doesn’t allow me to be trim OR
  2. I’m overweight and I’ll do what it takes to get in shape and stay in shape.

Hypnotist Valerie Grimes states:

If you are fed up with the status of your weight loss goals and decide to make the second choice, then what has to happen is that you have to

CHANGE THEIR BEHAVIORS.

In a NY Times online article, FAT TRAP, published 12/28/11, The National Weight Control Registry tracked 10,000 people who  lost weight and kept it off. The conclusion was behaviors must change.  Of the 10,000, each person:

    • Exercised one hour or more each day,
    • Watched less TV,
    • Ate 50-300 fewer calories per day than the average person,
    • Ate breakfast
    • Didn’t cheat on the weekends.
Hypnosis for behavior change.

Our thoughts are things. It turns out that our thoughts result in brain growth in the areas of our brains that need to respond to help us improve our performance.  You can get better at something by only visualizing the activity, resulting in brain wiring (dendrites) and growing the part of your brain that will perform that function.

How does this happen when your subconscious mind does not know the difference between a real and an imagined event. Imagining, visualizing and hypnotizing your brain creates the SAME response as doing the actual activity.
